Emily Xueni Jin

Emily Xueni Jin is a translator of science fiction and fantasy. She graduated from Wellesley College, Massachusetts in 2017 as a comparative literature and psychology double major. As one of the core members of the Clarkesworld-Storycom collaborative project on publishing English translations of Chinese science fiction, her major works include The Psychology Game (short story by Xia Jia, together with Ken Liu, October 2017), Farewell, Doraemon (novella by A Que, together with Ken Liu, March 2018), The Facecrafter (novelette by Anna Wu, October 2018) and The Reunion (short story by Chen Qiufan, together with Ken Liu, December 2018, published by MIT’s Technology Review). Her other works include translating Doctor Who: The Story of Martha (novel by Dan Abnett and others, Eight Light Minutes, August 2018) and Kingdom of Clockwork (novel by Billy O’Shea) into Chinese. She is currently aspiring to acquire a PhD in literature at Yale University, with a focus on cognitive literary studies, translation and world science fiction.
