Gu Di

Before publishing his first sci-fi novel, Gu Di had been a sci-fi fan for almost three decades and never thought about writing a novel himself. Nevertheless, reading sci-fi novels thorugh his childhood definitely helped to lead him to a careerin science. Now, as a biology professor who studies the molecular pathology of cancer, Gu Di has devoted most of his time to academic research work and writes novels on holidays and, occasionally, weekends. Although he only published five sci-fi novels in the past seven years, two of them, The Age Of QR Codes and The Hearts Behind, have won Chinese sci-fi writing prizes, encouraging him to write more for sci-fi fans. The novel The Hearts Behind has been translated into French and Italian.
