Riley Brett-Roche

Riley Brett-Roche received her MA in Chinese Studies at the University of Michiganand is currently a PhD candidate in History at Stanford. She is spending the2018-2019 academic year researching for her dissertation supported by funding fromFulbright Program and the Social Science Research Council’s InternationalDissertation Research Fellowship. Riley’s undergraduate and graduate work prior toStanford centered around Sino-Indian and Sino-Tibetan relations in the modern andlate imperial periods. Her current research considers the history of conservation,organization, and accessibility of archives used to study modern China over thetwentieth century.
